Design and comfort - The Varjo XR-3 headband is easily adjustable with buttons on the back and top, and can be tilted up or down via rotary switches on the side. Components are well placed for a balanced weight distribution, while the USB-C cable is neatly tucked away in clips to avoid interference. The PU face cover is easily replaceable with a Velcro strap, and ocular relief can be adjusted automatically or manually via a menu button on the headset.
Tracking - The Varjo Aero is tracked by SteamVR controllers and base stations. For stationary use (3DoF), two base stations are required, while for motion use (6DoF), four base stations are required. With 6DoF, users can move freely around their gaming zone.
Audio - The Aero is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack and comes with earphones featuring a built-in microphone that can be used to obtain audio while using the device. Another option for audio is to connect wireless headphones via Bluetooth, offering the possibility of wireless audio.
